A fractional line plot records each measurement above its value. The number of marks shows frequency, while the horizontal scale shows size.
For measurements 1/4, 1/2, 1/2, and 3/4, stack two marks at 1/2. The range is 3/4 − 1/4 = 1/2.
Count every measurement once; the tallest stack and the greatest value are different ideas.
