Learn the math: Distributive Property with Arrays

The distributive property splits one multiplication into smaller partial products. Adding those products gives the original total.

A worked example

Split 7 × 8 into 5 × 8 and 2 × 8. Then 40 + 16 = 56.

Keep in mind while you play

The two parts must cover the full array without missing or counting any square twice.
