Fire one −10 laser at a time.

Learn the math: Subtract Multiples of Ten

Subtracting a multiple of ten removes whole tens. The ones stay unchanged when only tens are removed.

A worked example

For 76 − 30, remove three tens: 76, 66, 56, 46. The result still has six ones.

Keep in mind while you play

Count the number of ten-unit shots, not just the final digits.
